Volunteers Needed.

Do you have what it takes?

Take our volunteer quiz to see if becoming a CASA volunteer might be right for you.

  • No prior experience with children is required to volunteer with CASA. You may have children at home, grown children out of the house, or no children at all.

  • Our volunteers are in their 20s, in their 70s, and all ages in between. CASA volunteers come from every background and all walks of life.

  • You will need to be able to visit the children, their homes, schools, and attend court sessions.

  • On average, our volunteers spend 12 hours each month with CASA. Volunteers need flexibility to have some meetings and phone calls during regular business hours.

  • Children served by CASA come from difficult circumstances. Cases of physical and sexual abuse, abandonment and psychological trauma are common. The courts and social services are involved in each case. CASA volunteers provide an extra layer of objectivity and help to the courts.

  • These children are victims. Children are served by CASA because they have been abused or neglected. They come from difficult family situations and will face continued serious challenges. Our volunteers work with children in very difficult circumstances and face some tough choices.

  • All our volunteers receive advance training before being assigned to a case. This includes observing courtroom hearings during the working day.

  • Our children need a stable and supportive volunteer who will be there for them. A case could last for several years. The judges—and the children—will be counting on you.
